Forster Pechstein is one of the Pflaz regions greatest Grand Cru vineyards - literally translated as 'tar stone', a reference to the basalt-laden soils of the vineyard. This produces Villa Wolf's most assertive and mineral-driven Riesling. Concentrated on the palate, with a flint and a lick of lime. Absolutely delightful - an example of why Riesling is such a good wine for ageing - especially when it's looked after at the winery itself!
