Two Rivers Saint Maur Sauvignon Blanc

This single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is from Two Rivers' Saint Maur Vineyard in the Southern Valleys and is a true expression of the land. A Sauvignon Blanc of exceptional quality, with a complex palate and wonderful texture. Fermented and aged for 12-18 months in a concrete egg and clay amphorae on the lees, all helping to develop the wine's wonderful texture, depth and length.  One of only 2000 individually numbered bottles.

The nose is full - screaming of the Mediterranean from the Southern Ocean... almond, citrus zest, lemon thyme and green olives all entice one into the glass. As you take your first sip, the first thing that hits you is the wonderful, almost creamy texture - this is a classy Savvy B. The lemon zest follows through onto the palate from the nose, with little hints of lemon thyme and verbena, meanwhile a creaminess starts to develop alongside hints of salinity which help keep this rather intense Sauvignon Blanc at the fresher end of the spectrum.
