Solidea Passito di Pantelleria
Produced on the Sicilian island of Pantelleria, from the Zibibbo grape, this unctuous dessert wine has a deep golden yellow colour tending to amber. On the nose this wine is rich, with intense notes of dates, sultanas and acacia honey. It is luscious, soft and persistent on the palate.
The production method for these wines is ancient - from the vineyard management (with vines trained like hollow shells to protect themselves from the heat and wind) to the natural, air-drying of the grapes to intensify the sugars and flavours. This wine gives a real sense of place.
