Robert Sinskey Cabernet Franc

Borne of vines cut from Cheval Blanc's Bordeaux vineyards (shhhh...), this certainly lives up to its progenitor's standards! From vineyards grazed by sheep, this has a wonderfully expressive nose packed with fruit and hints of violet and oregano leading to a rich palate of dark berries, mocha & sleek tannins. Interesting little factoid - it was trying this wine at the London Wine Fair some years ago that made Simon decide that the wine industry was a permanent option! So in its own way, this Cab Franc is responsible for the very existence of Phoenix Wines.
