Nyetimber Cuvee Cherie Demi-Sec NV

Nyetimber's Cuvee Cherie was initially made to complement delicate British desserts, making it a perfect accompaniment to Afternoon Tea. It is equally well-suited to gently spiced and fragrant savoury dishes though, making this superbly versatile. This cuvee has the delicate sweetness of honey notes, balanced with pure citrus lemon and tangerine flavours and a refreshing minerality. Elegant, delicate and fresh, it works particularly well with richer foods.

Simon Says: When I first tried this wine, I was incredibly taken by its elegance and delicacy. Too often demi-sec sparkling wines lack balance, with sweetness just overtaking the whole character of the wine. This is different, a fine fizz, that just happens to have a little sweetness.
