Mezzogiorno Primitivo

Produced using grapes from the Salento region of Puglia, this great value wine from Mezzogiorno is a great example of why Primitivo is so popular. A dark, ruby-red wine, with violet highlights, this is a brooding and enticing wine on the nose: dark berries with hints of spice and crushed violet. The palate is pure crowd-pleaser: the rich and ripe dark berries take centre stage, with a little hint of cherry brightness and warmth from the spice element coming through. Medium bodied, but with a full, rounded mouthfeel and bags of flavour.

Will this wine ever wine awards for its complexity and longevity? Probably not. Will it delight with it's pleasant flavour profile and moreish qualities? Absolutely!
