Johanneshof Satzing Rotgipfler

From an exceptional single-vineyard plot (Satzing), this varietal Rotgipfler is a real treat - and a rarity, with only about 100ha planted worldwide.

This is a wine of real contradictions, beginning full and aromatic, with huge notes of orange peel and earthy, floral sweetness on the nose. On the palate this fullness continues, with an oily, persistent texture (think great, dry Gewurztraminer or Pinot Gris), before finishing clean, fresh and vibrant. Somehow it is both rich and satisfying whilst also being moutwateringly refreshing!
