Ch Coupe Roses La Bastide Minervois
Ch Coupe Roses La Bastide Minervois
Classic Minervois from old vines in rugged mountain vineyards, strewn with rocks amongst the clay-limestone soils. The wines these conditions produce are bold, but still eminently drinkable. The blend of Carignan and Grenache produces a wine with rich, dark fruit and hints of spice. Highly accessible with just a lick of pleasing acidity for added food friendliness.
Here I also include the intriguingly translated description from the winery's own website - and you all thought I was verbose:
The listening trickle spread from bottle neck ; The purplish iridescent ion of the bastide, herald the wine times. ItÕs young, close to the fruit, it is the wine of instants. The accomplice companion of the culinary improvisations which plays with its tannins already absorbed parsleyed with wild plums aromas. Its vivid insolence will take part to a modest light-meal and also to generous friendly meals. ItÕs the wine with which we recreate allegorical meals of the saved harvests.
