Chateau le Gravillot Lalande-de-Pomerol
With only 1.1ha of vineyards, Chateau le Gravillot produces only 6,000 bottles of wine (in a good year). However, that makes it even more special when you can get your hands on some of the nectar which that small vineyard produces!
Rich, heady, and powerful - this wine could wear the Pomerol appellation with pride. Alas, a minor inconvenience of geography places it in the satellite appellation of Lalande-de-Pomerol. On the plus side, this misfortune undoubtedly shaves a few pennies off the price tag! This full-bodied Claret spends about 15 months in new oak barrels which helps to develop the structure and balance of the wine.

From Vivino: Dark red with betroot coloured rim and fat curtains. A bouquet of dusty cedar, tobacco and riped blackberries. Wellstructured and a good acidity that support the firm body. Tannins is well balanced, dry and smooth. Red currant, blackberries, black currant and forest floor adds to this wonderful basket of flavours. Fantastic long finish.
