Chateau du Breuil 15yo Calvados Pays d'Auge

A blend of Calvdos spirits from the Chateau which have all been aged for a minimum of 15 years (many for considerably longer), this shows a perfect harmony between the apple and the wood. Described by the distillers as being 'voluptuous', and we couldn't think of a better word. Rich, stewed and spiced apples fill out a warming, heartening palate. The oak tannins and spices follow thorugh, filling out the palate and melding complexly with the apple fruit to develop into a long, comforting finish.

From the specific Pays d'Auge appellation within the Calvados producing region, where standards are raised and character and complexity are highly regarded - as evidenced by the requirement to conduct two distillations through an alembic pot still (rather than a continuous column still used in all other Calvados appellations).
