It still strikes me as a slightly odd that a brewery which has since become known for stretching the very concept of what beer can be, won CAMRA's Champion Beer of Britain award with this - a red ale. But boy, what a red ale! The classic smooth, malty backbone of a red-ale is liberally seasoned with Citra, for a full-on modern twist and superb citrusy top-notes.
