Cantina Sobrero Barolo Ciabot Tansio

A modern-styled Barolo with fleshy cherry and red plum supported by amped-up dried floral tones. It's refreshing to see broader Nebbiolo tannins adding to a more approachable texture of this high intensity style. Notes of autumn leaves, tanned leather, liquored black plum, liquorice, and cocoa powder.

The vines used for this wine are mature, up to 50 years old, and found at an elevation of 350m. In conjunction with an extended period in stainless steel, before being transferred to large, old, oak vats, these factors help to produce a modern style. Still unmistakably Nebbiolo, it has a vibrant freshness, with the fruit contained within fine, broad tannins.

Since the current vintage (2015), the producers have completed a conversion to organic farming.
