Artadi La Hoya Single Vineyard

Artadi recently acquired the small vineyard of La Hoya, a 0.9ha plot 5km north-east of Laguardia, close to the Cantabrian Mountains (not the NYC airport) The vineyard dates from 1935 and its unusual calcareous clay and silt subsoil maintains good water reserves that help create vines of perfect balance and maturity - just the sort of thing which the Artadi team love, site-specific qualities! Old vines and the proximity of the mountains means yields are low, but the concentrated grapes have remarkable brightness and good acidity. The 2017 is the second release under Artadi custodianship, of which only 300 bottles were allocated for the UK market.
