37.5cl Morandé Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc
Morandé are true pioneers in Chile: they were the first to develop the Casablanca DO recognising the potential of this cool climate region for aromatic varietals. Here grapes comes from the lowest and coldest vineyard of the El Ensueño estate which benefit from a strong maritime influence, allowing for long, slow ripening and foggy mornings (perfect for late harvet wines). The cool climate also allows the grapes to hold onto their natural acidity much longer - creating a sweet and luscious wine which has a clean finish and is never cloying. Tasting notes include ripe, honeydew melon, seville orange marmalade, quince and uplifting orange blossom.
